Statement
IAVCEI guidelines impose commissions to be guided by a Leader or co-Leaders, and a Secretary that are democratically elected. IAVCEI is strongly in favor to involve early-carreer scientists in the Steering Committees of the commissions.
CVL’s Steering Committee is composed following these requirements. The CVL Steering Committee is chosen to be rather broad, in order to:
(1) represent the community with a globally even distribution;
(2) cover the various disciplines of our multi-disciplinary commission by key researchers in each field;
(3) be a mix of young, dynamic and fresh researchers, backed by experienced, dynamic and fresh volcanic lake pioneers.
(4) seek gender-equality.
